My son is back from college for the holiday weekend and he and one of daughters and I were having dinner at my place. An hour or so before we were to meet, we had a torrential rain which flooded many of the city’s streets, especially in the valley where I live. The kids and I drove around for a while, listening to anime music and taking photos of the flooding. We have a beautiful central park running along the old route of Snake Creek through the middle of town. Restored a decade or so ago, the pillars lining the sunken gardens are a favorite subject of many photographers and painters in the area. Last night, the gardens were turned into a pond. The storm system that produced the rain made for some beautiful evening skies.
